What's cooler than a hot Argentine mistress?  The comparison with Sanford in being irresponsible makes it less likely that Bauer wins the nomination.  I expect a fair number of Bauer supporters will end up making Barrett their first choice.  Bauer will also be the most hurt of the three main candidates if Haley stays in now, since her major strength will be in Lexington County.

In any case, Bauer's been floating the idea of promising not to run for Governor in 2010 if Sanford will resign. (link)
