This really does upset me, and I don't appreciate being fooled like this. I regret having voted for you.

Better question, who becomes the Senator now? Is it Kyle Gordon or is there a special election?

Hmm
I looked in the Constitution, and I couldn't find anything on what is to be done if a Senator-elect drops out. I also thought there could be a possibility of a Governor appointment. Anyways, I think a special election would be best, as it gives people time to evaluate the candidates again.
Actually, Opebo recieved more votes. He got 3, while KyleGordan got 2.

As far as I can tell opebo never accepted the write-ins. Que lastima, that would have been genuinely amusing.

The eleventh amendment states that a special election will be held at midnight eastern time the Thursday after a vacancy occurs. The seat is simply vacant when the senate starts.

Why are you saying lol to us?  We tried to find someone competent and he had been here for a couple months and had seemed capable.  We had no reason to suspect he was not who he said he was.

Opebo accepted the write-ins by writing himself in. But I'm pretty sure a new election has to be held.

Anyway, interesting that two of the candidates in this race were frauds...

Assuming Lief/BK wins, we'll have two special elections soon...

I'm not expert on Atlasian law, but hasn't the Statute of Limitations passed for challenging the election results? Within an hour of his admission, actually?

Nice timing, guys. I'm sure you'll still move forward with the challenge of Marokai's vote, though. Roll Eyes

You have a problem when you have to *try* finding someone competent and settle on someone this new. You deserve what you got.

Anyway, interesting that two of the candidates in this race were frauds...
Wait, what'd I miss? Who's the other one?

So can I still challenge his vote or not? Help me out, man--when you're applying for your lawyer jobs, don't you want to be able to say "Supreme Court Judge of Fantasyworld" on your resume and have it mean something!?

lol

Challenging vote = Two methods possible:
1) If you want to challenge the constitutionality of the statute either on its face or as applied;
2) If you want to argue that the CESRA is not completely thorough and does not cover the vote applicable (does voter fraud announced after the S/L trump S/L - not literally according to statute, but I find it an interesting Q)

I was bringing up the prospect of criminal charges, should the AG be interested in actually doing work, not the prospect of challenging the vote.  Sorry.
