It’s more interesting if you consider these primary votes instead of GE votes. I’d say a middle class black voter in the Midwest who thought Dukakis was more qualified than Jackson.

Wait that actually is interesting. I think a white mainstream Dem voter in Westchester, NY or similar areas would follow this pattern as well. From 1984 to 1988 Westchester swung like 10 points to the left. So this could definitely be an early Dem suburbanite.
