Is it just me or was there something very bizarre about:

a) her resignation
b) her resignation speech.

Her resignation seemed to come out of nowhere and the speech was awkward, filled with cliches, bizarre analogies, and incoherent sentences.

What do you guys think?

Um, it's Sarah Palin. She, herself, is awkward, bizarre and incoherent, did come out nowhere (when McCain picked her as VP), and is filled with the Holy Spirit!! Cheesy lol in other words, she's full of $#!+.

She's clearly running in 2012. It's not like an unknown Democrat would have defeated her if she ran in 2010, despite that appalling drop in her approval ratings from like 85 percent before she was tapped as VP compared to the now 50-something she has now. That being said, she's the most popular Republican in the country (which just goes to show how pathetically low the party is stooping right now) but I figure with her leading the ticket, the Republican Party will go out with a bang. Literally.

She's far too polarizing, everyone on the left hates her, and quite frankly, too stupid to be president. It's sad when my first grade sister knows that Africa is a continent and this woman doesn't. If the Republican Party is that desperate to nominate a woman (I suspect they know they won't have any luck nominating anyone else from a minority, like a Hispanic, seeing as how minorities aren't exactly a big voting bloc for their party), surely they can go with some other female politician who's 1) more experienced, 2) less polarizing, 3) more electable, and 4) smarter. I've said it before, Kay Bailey Hutchison would be an excellent choice for the GOP. She's center-right although her views on abortion might disdain the Religious Right. The GOP needs to be looking at some other popular Governors as well (Charlie Crist, Jon Huntsman Jr., M. Jodi Rell). I'm sure Huntsman is considered a liberal out in Utah, though.

But yeah, Sarah Palin is a ditz and just needs to focus on being a good grandma right now.

I hate the way that her thoughts seemed to segway into each other without any actual thought in between them. It really was an awkward way to resign.

A couple dozen million of us noticed that last year. ;-)

Here's what I say:

I think she resigned because everybody was laughing at her (sometimes rightfully so, and other times not), and people were flat out calling her stupid. She had become the laughing stock of the nation. I think she just got sick of it. I hate Palin the politician, but I have real sympathy for Palin the person. Nobody deserves the kind of treatment she received.

Based on her tone in the video, I think this was the reason.
