Three to six.  The occasion doesn't come up that often, though it does happen.  (The National Symphony Orchestra likes to start with it occasionally)

A few times. I like to sing O Canada, God Save the Queen and the Star Spangled banner on occasion, plus the first verse of the French anthem.

Patriotism is a lifestyle, not a song.  I don't really sing songs much anyway.  And I don't question anyone's patriotism unless they get really sensitive about cheering for another country's soccer team.

Uh, I don't get sensitive about it; you do.

You got all huffy and defensive about it and called me a bully (perhaps the only time in my life I've ever been called that).  That's pretty sensitive.

Especially if Ronan Tynan sings it and adds that extra little verse in the beginning.

I remember singing it everyday in elementary, middle, and maybe even a little bit of high school.

Now and again, I occasionally hum it, but actually sing it perhaps 5 times a year.

I hum it when I go to basketball and football games, which 20-25 times a year.

Uh...because you were getting defensive about our country. You went on a "How dare you root against the good, old U.S.A.!" routine.

You're a very dense individual, Harry, if you don't realize that you were the one being sensitive about patriotism and how I apparently am not enough of a patriot. If anything, your problem was that I wasn't sensitive enough about rooting for another country!

I sing La Marseillaise once in a while. I hear, though not sing, O Canada, every weekday.

I don't question your or anyone else's patriotism.  When you root for a different country's national team over your own, you have to expect some ribbing from people from your own country.  To expect a free pass is being overly sensitive.

You're the dense sensitive one for extrapolating too much over sports comments and for making stupid comments like these:
I know this really isn't a serious topic but of course not (not Harry).

When you root for a different country's national team over your own, you have to expect some ribbing from people from your own country.  To expect a free pass is being overly sensitive.

...which means that you are being sensitive on the patriotism issue. I am not sensitive about supporting a team that I like while you were the one throwing a fit, using the "How dare you!" routine, saying that if I was a Democrat I would never get away with it, etc.

How come I'm getting a "ribbing" from others? Frankly, I don't give a damn. I choose to respond to it (even though the rhetoric you and others use are irritating) because I'm not ashamed. You want to make an issue about it because you are ashamed with my choice. I'm not expecting a free pass from dumbs like yourself but the fact that you're telling me that I don't deserve a free pass proves how seriously you take this.

You were disgusted that I wasn't cheering for my country. I've come to realize that I have no qualms with it. That makes you the sensitive one, Harry. If you weren't sensitive, you wouldn't engage me on the topic anymore.

Harry, you've gone on stupid nationalist crusades in other areas and just because we have focused on sports doesn't mean you haven't seriously engaged in "Are you patriotic enough?" discussions. Remember your stupidity about dual citizenship?
