Been focusing on the economy of late in my posts here because I enjoy the conversation with Beet, who is knowledgeable on the subject.  I can't say that I enjoy many of the other conversations that go on here and it's a dead time for elections.

The economy is going to be screwed for a while, at least, because this is a credit-based recession, but no one is 100% secure, not me, not Torie, not opebo, not AHDuke, not anyone else, whether they supposedly have wealth or not, so I don't know how you read that into my posts.

The bottom line is that if all goes to hell, one can still sit on an easy chair in a small apartment, and read a good book. If you have that much, you have enough. That is what "balances" me in the end.

Oh, I don't really spend a lot of time worrying about much of anything (except for maybe the bar and that's anxiety), Torie.  I'm not agonizing over long winter evenings or something on this.  I've got better things to do.

But sometimes the alchemists can't make things go away and what will be, will be.  I think you know that too.

That's a very diplomatic post, as we have come to expect (mostly) from the found of maturity which is Torie.

BRTD overcontributes; and his average quality is probably worse than Spade's, which is hardly excellent. That said, in total number of worthwhile/interesting posts, BRTS does win. I voted based on quantity, not on quality - because neither poster really is.

BRTD does seem to be able to muster up election stats in a heartbeat and he's not dumb when it comes to the players in politics, but he's just so phucked up when it comes to the other 90% of his posts it's hard to vote for him.
