In 2004, Incumbent President George W. Bush, after talks with the GOP and Cheney would decide to replace Dick Cheney with another candidate. The new man would come from NY Governor George Pataki. The Bush/Pataki ticket won over Kerry in the November Election and would go forward. Basically things go the same, surge in Iraq, economic downturn, etc. VP Pataki would run for the Republican Nomination of 2008 and would win over McCain and Paul. (Decide Pataki's VEEP).

The Democrat's moved through a primary fight at which Sen. Barack Obama came out on top over Hillary Clinton. Obama would choose Evan Bayh for his runningmate.

Who wins in this race? Discuss.

Pataki decides he needs someone more charasmatic and inspiring than either himself or Obama's running mate, Bayh. Pataki chooses Gray Davis.

Gray Davis as Pataki running-mate?? No way!

Pataki, as a highly unpopular Bush veep, would lose. His pro-choice stance alienates many conservative Republicans. Perhaps he would lose much more than McCain
