Jas v. Peter clearly establishes that this is not the case. Not only is it a convention that re-confirmation isn't needed, but its binding precedent as well.

I would think every President should automatically dismiss the entire previous Cabinet. He can reappoint whomever he likes, but we should start from scratch.
