I have great respect for you, Earl (and will probably vote to confirm you), but you've received some criticism in the past for being late in opening voting booths from time to time. Can you assure us that you will be more active in getting booths open on time?

No questions. The SoFA has a hell of a tough time and after following the last results, and the process behind certification closely I have strong confidence in Earl.

Yeah the SoFA has been late a couple of times in opening booths and certifying results....but these things could really happen to anyone, and I think it's great that we've found somebody so willing to invest the time and energy necessary for the job.

I see no reason to prevent Earl from continuing that work.

I two am interested in the answer to question regarding your tardiness in opening booths. Also are you willing to confer with the Senate in regards to how you think the position can be improved, or how you think electoral laws might be improved?

If you can assure us that events similar to those of a few months ago will not, barring some unforeseen circumstances, occur during your next term, I am more than happy to vote for your confirmation.

I would like to ask, as an aside, if you could provide some recommendations to the Senate as to how to clarify and expand election law in order to help you do your job.

There have been instances where he has been a tad late in opening up the booth, but it would be the for anyone else. It's hard to get on the computer at a certain time to open the booth. At least Earl isn't like, days late.
Easy confirmation, for me.

My apologies, though. I was not an active member then.
It was a technical problem, though. His mouse wasn't working. That's happened to me before, too.

Thank you Senators,

I would like to address some of my prior tardiness. On occaison, I have been tardy opening voting booths, and certifying election results, etc. I was quite busy a few months ago, and had some technical issues. Right now, I have a wireless connection, and it's not always the best. And there was that time my mouse stopped working. Anyways, I rectified that problem by appointing a deputy SoFA, who I will use if needed in the future. Right now I have a lot of free time on my hands, so activity wont be an issue for the near future.

As for changes in laws, I do have many opinions on that. One issue is whether or not someone needs 25 posts before they can register, or do they become a voter as soon as they get 25 posts after they register? This needs to be cleared up.  Also, giving the SoFA more discretion in allowing posters to vote twice given extraordinary circumstances like we saw in the last election.

I'm not sure this is my place, but I would love to see the Senate expanded or have a House of Representatives added. I like having regional representation, and this is where the President and I will disagree on. It adds an extra element of the game, and I think many of the regions have shown how creative they can be in developing local, cultures, etc. But, that's getting a little off topic.

Not a fan of the nominee's last paragraph, but I see no reason not to re-confirm.

I would thank the SoFA for responding to my question, and for being willing to suggest certain changes that need to be addressed. I am of the opinion that the interation between the cabinet and the Senate can be considerably improved and I think this is a great way to start. I think that its improvement will ensue an improvement to the game in general.

I agree with the SoFA's last paragraph supporting regions because of there culture. My hope is to take that and have form a "political" culture in each region around which activity is bread by the process, not hampered.

I will be supporting Earl's renomination to SoFA.

My initial thought as well, but I just assumed Lief did it just to make sure everyone was on board.
