If you want to stop the HAEV, then introduce a bill to outright repeal it. You would be more likely to get my vote on that then on this which, in my view will turn the HAEV into a make work project with nothing to do.

Yes, for--God forbid--an entire month. And I would hardly call "proving the system can work with a minimum of partisanship, and making decisions to be ratified in a month's time" a "make work project".

I hoped for a middle ground to let the HAEV prove either its advocates or detractors correct. Like many others, I'm currently opposed to the HAEV enough at least to suspend it's deregistration efforts temporarily, but not so much to pull the plug entirely. Given the choice.....

Again, I'm highly interested in the President-elect's position on this proposal.
