I'll admit that I occasionally inflame my rhetoric, but only as a tool to drive a wedge between my political opponents and what I find to be hypocritical regarding their belief systems. My persona on the forum is, at a rough estimate, about 80-85% in keeping with my real value system, though I don't especially stand out the way I do here "IRL".

I think I let it all hang out myself, in the sense that I try to be candid as to who I am, and what I believe and why. But then, at this stage of my life, I could let it all hang out in a column in a newspaper, without much consequence.

we are all always performing.  I am one of the worst offenders.  I've only started being real with myself, and have a strong inclination to stop because what I have discovered is painful and disturbing.

Yeah...90% or so seems right.  I don't really feel the need to make stuff up unless I'm messing with a troll or someone who's too uptight.  I don't know that I come across 100% identical to who I am though.  That's the fault of the internet, not any disingenuous actions of my own.

My politics are pretty much identical to everything I always hold, I never find any reason to lie about something trivial like that. But my attitude on this forum is often far more aggressive and insulting than I am off the forum.

I would say 85%.

My personal life details that I do expose are 100% and if you don't believe me then come spend a Fri or Sat with me.   Trust me I'm a wild child.

This whole question is somewhat funny in that most posters aren't going to believe it anyway. Its all good with me though.  

Political wise my views on social policy maybe be a little skewed torwards pleasing the conservative base( not that I'm all that conservative anyway) , although its kind of like having a job as a LEO and having a party life.  I admit that the things I do in my personal life is somewhat politically hypocritical.  But this something that 60% of our political leaders do as well.

Though I have changed my political beliefs alot since I was in high school (9th grade-10th grade I was a neoconservative, 11th grade I was liberal, 12th grade was when I became a mainstream libertarian until last year during the fall semester of college when I started having left libertarian leanings). If that is taken into consideration, probably more like 70%.

Everything I believe is based on societal influences, although many of these are reactive rather than positive. There is no "real" me, only varying forces affecting me. In that sense, I am either 0% real or 100% real.

And I don't talk about French/Brazilian/random country politics at school since I'd look like a weirdo. Seriously, imagine talking to your friends of how you were all pumped on Sunday afternoon about that cantonal by-election in Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole, Lozère.

I'm right around 90 percent, and the remaining 10 percent would have to be given up to issues about which I know very little (and therefore cannot comment one way or another) or issues that constitute a gray area, leaving me questioning whether any position is "right."

I'm more honest now than I ever have been. When I was fresh out of high school and a committed Republican, I openly supported a lot of things that I privately questioned or disagreed with, so my "realness percentage" would have been far lower around six or seven years ago.

I used to be 60 to 70% real but now I am 90% real. I am much more serious on here than I am in real life and am less argumentative in real life. Other than that I am pretty real.
