My Dad - a former Teamster - is now a Wall Street Journal reading, economic conservative. I would think so.

Sure, but getting old and miserably ill as happens to all people has reminded them that life is suffering and that individualism and so forth is nonsense.  I think one could say they are still capitalism-supporters but no longer capitalism-fans.

Here's a novel thought; everyone is tainted with capitalism. Most of us wouldn't exist without it.

No! My family have always been firm adherents to the ideals of the Working Class Revolution, I swear it!

Most adults I know are far left, on both economic & social issues. There are a few exceptions, though.

Don't you live in San Francisco?  Yeah, that's why.

Yeah. Interestingly, the most conservative adult I have ever known was born & raised in France. He even has some neoconservative leanings, even though he strongly denounced them for their French-bashing tendencies.

Ah, yes, your Mitterrand-hating French teacher.

You have the question wrong, everyone. The question is whether the notion of parenthood is capitalistic, which is obviously true. In a communist society, children would be raised in common.

Not to mention our minds are controlled by it.

In a capitalist society, children would also be away from their parents. They would be raised by individuals of varying parenting quality depending on their own performance as a child, with the ability to move from "parent" to "parent" as their performance improved or worsened. The lowest-performing children would be raised by the worst parents, while the highest-performing children would be raised by the best parents, regardless of the quality of their birth parents.

Of course, there would need to be some standard by which to measure "quality of parenting" and "quality of performance as child".
