Alright citizens, where should the capital of the Northeast be placed? After some discussion, we'll put it to a vote. Any suggestions? please provide reasons.

I nominate Burlington, VT.

It's such a beautiful place full of politically motivated people, most of whom are pro-weed college students.

I love that town.

I suggest Salem, Mass. Liberals on here seem to love going on witch hunts.

New York seems too obvious so I say Provincetown MA.

Btw. Bono, did you know that most people of Provincetown are descendants of Portuguese fishers?

Either New York or Boston.  They're both liberal.

Someone suggested it before, and I liked the idea, so I'm suggesting Hartford, CT.

Judging who? The reason I suggest it cause it's in the relative middle and Hartford is a really cool name. I'd also like to point out the if someone wanted to build a capital in NYC the cost would be massive! I'd suggest Albany, Hartford or Plymouth, something like that.

Judging Amy. It's a TV Court Drama that takes place in hartford, Conn. Of course, sarcasm gets much harder now without smileys.

BTW, I voted Albany.

Providence is BEAUTIFUL!

That would be second on my list.

The gentrified downtown is nice but head to Olneyville, South Providence or parts of Smith Hill and you might change your mind.  I have a love/hate relationship with the city of Providence.

Nothing wrong with that. It says a lot about the background of our leaders if we set our capital in a rich town with no minorities. A capital should be able to contain all walks of life.

Personally, I think it's better to have a captial with slums in it.

But besides that point, my rankings...

1. Burlington, VT
2. Providence, RI
3. Manchester, NH
4. Nashua, NH
5. Concord, NH
6. Portsmouth, NH
7. Hampton Beach, NH
8. York Beach, ME
9. Springfield, MA
10. Lowell, MA

It seems the majority wish the capital to be placed in NYC. Should we put it to a vote or just accept it?
