It would seem to me that all forms of anarchism, from Marxism to anarcho-capitalism, require faith not implicit in most other ideologies.

No, it's a philosophy about having no system of government. The type of faith involved is not the same as religious faith. There are no supernatural forces involved in it.

On the same token, so would democracy. But no, it's not a 'religion', and it's not built on faith.

Don't religions usually suggest a higher order or mysticism?

Otherwise you could argue "I'm gonna roll double sixes" is a religion.

No.

I find religion in itself to involve putting faith in a higher power. No higher power exists in anarchy so I see how it's impossible to be any need to worship a higher power if it doesn't exist.

Hmm...

Well, if religion is a way to explain and conceptualize the reality, and if anarchy says that there should be neither concept nor explanation concerning the reality, then it's either a way to conceptualize and explain the reality, thus a religion, either the total opposite of a religion.

Anyways, such a question is just funny to make work the one's brain...

I don't see how Anarchist 'faith' is any different from a mental-structural point of view from belief in the 'market' to solve our problems.

But seriously you could look at any human concept and find religious overtones in it. Because religion is not some separate form of thought, it's structures are of course part of human thought.
