Maybe when this ends we should do a more formal band vs. band tournament, according to the rules of the Atlas Invitational.

That's quite possibly the worst group of four bands I've ever seen. My eyes felt like they were going to bleed when I read that.

Death Cab
Pumpkins

Smashing Pumpkins are actually quite metal-influenced.

That doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot. If you had to like the things influenced by the things you like, BRTD would have to like Slayer, which we don't want. Tongue

There's nothing 'metal' about Billy Corgan's voice, after all. Slayer would eat him.

Definitely. Based on where I was going eigth months ago, I easily could have become a punk. However, after listening to Slayer's Skeletons Of Society, I found my calling, so to speak. In fact, I consider Tom Araya to be my #1 influence as a vocalist.

B: Fugazi

Though I think I'd rather vote Pumpkins and Fugazi. Radiohead ought to have broken up before OK Computer. Tongue

Perhaps uncoincidentially the more metal-influenced songs are the Smashing Pumpkins songs I like less.

The really early non-electronic stuff is much better. Not that OK Computer is unbearable or anything. But not my cup of tea. Give me three chords and the truth. Give me Creep.

Radiohead's first two albums compared to the rest of their material is like two completely different bands. I'm happy with the direction they went in; they're only getting better. Their first two albums were pretty bland.
