The telephone survey of 500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports April 18, 2006. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.5 percentage points at the midpoint with a 95% level of confidence.

This poll is particularly interesting since it comes after two weeks of negative TV ads against Topinka, and the day after the guilty verdict in the Ryan trial. Both activities might be expected to work against Topinka, but for this poll it does not seem to be the case.
