Clinton with big lead By: Mark Warner 08 (I-AUT) - 2007-08-16 @ 10:16:01 Question: Poll Demographics Among likely Democratic voters, Clinton got 45 percent, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama had 26 percent and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards got 16 percent. Six percent were undecided and the rest went to other candidates. When the field was expanded to include potential candidates, the results were about even among the top prospects in Michigan. Among Democrats, former Vice President Al Gore got 36 percent, Clinton had 32 percent, Obama got 16 percent and Edwards drew 8 percent. Four percent were undecided and the rest went to other candidates. About this Poll The telephone poll was conducted Aug. 8 through Monday by EPIC-MRA of Lansing for The Detroit News and WXYZ-TV in Southfield. The statewide survey, released Tuesday night, included 400 likely Republican and 400 likely Democratic voters. It had a sampling error margin of plus or minus 5 percentage points.
