Analysis

Obviously, as of right now, I still have no idea. This election has me stumped. My first prediction was more realistic than the second. I know there are still plenty of undecided voters out there. I think the majority of them will go to McCain. However, I could be totally wrong on that as well. It could go either way. Maybe I will yet put up another prediction right before the election, but right now, I think this one could be decided in the halls of congress.

This is what happens when you have two weak candidates. Neither has a message worth rallying behind. Neither will talk about the real threats which face America. Neither will stand on a solid principle. Neither deserves to be elected in my opinion.

Here we have an economy going down the tubes, yet both candidates still insist we need a guest worker program and amnesty to reward lawbreakers thus giving them special rights over legal citizens struggling to survive. It's beyond me. NONE OF THE ABOVE.

During the last Bush/McCain/KENNEDY amnesty debacle, the phone system in the senate building had to be shut down due to the bill's fierce opposition. Now, neither candidate has even mentioned the issue unless it was John McCain in a closed door meeting with Hispanics in which he promised "comprehensive immigration reform" to be his top priority as president.

For either candidate to win the election, he only need to utter the words, "Given the current situation with our struggling economy, I can no longer support a guest worker program. All jobs in the U.S. must be occupied by legal citizens." Such a statement would close the deal for Obama or put McCain over the top. But it won't happen because to actually carry out such a statement would be to do what's right for the USA and we just cannot have that.
