Yeah, if this happens, the GOP won't be able to win an election for quite a while unless there is a miracle in Iraq or that stem-cells are just another excuse at (this is what some of my friends across the aisle would say) fatal child abuse by 2015. Though, unless the price is right, I don't think Snowe will give the Federalist Society the one seat they need or throw out what is left of the new deal...she might authorize Iran though. Though, I think if Ford loses, regardless of what else happens, that the Dems should entirely give up on Tennessee or give up on the GOP-lite fascase. What appears to be saving my party could be being saw right through as just a desperate group of people only looking for power, even if that power is needed for proper checks and balence.

My final prediction is Pelosi will indeed be the next Speaker. The GOP will go down into defeat and Vice president Dick Cheney will break the tie (50R-48D-2I).

Snowe loses Maine???????? If this happens then the only GOP Senators surviving will be Hatch in UT and well no one else. Snowe is far to popular to lose.

I guess so. I actually have Snowe pegged as a target for party switching after the election.
