Who am I?
My name is Al, I'm an old fashioned lefty and live in a part of Great Briton that you have probably never heard of. I like maps. This is probably all you need, or care, to know.
What am I doing?
I'm slowly making various county level demographic maps. The plan is for a basic set of three for each state. These are:
- % employed in manufacturing
- % employed in blue collar/service occupations
- % employed in managerial/professional occupations
Most/all states will have more than three maps, although the demographic mapped will depend on the state in question (so % employed in mining in West Virginia, % employed in agriculture in Kansas, % claiming Irish ancestory in Massachusetts and so on).
