Summary
Republicans have a net gain of one seat, giving them a 25-24 majority. Conservative Democrat Tim Sheldon continued to caucus with Republicans as the Majority Coalition Caucus, which maintained its 26-23 majority.
Between the 2012 and 2014 general elections, Republicans also picked up the 26th seat when Jan Angel won a special election, giving them a total net gain of two seats since the 2012 elections.
