The 2010 U.S. general election was held on November 2 of that year.

U.S. Senate

Results -- light blue represents Democratic holds, dark blue Democratic pickups, pink Republican holds, red Republican pickups.

In the Senate races, Republicans gained six seats, defeating two Democratic incumbents, Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin. Republicans also picked up four open seats in Illinois, Indiana, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania.
