Kentucky: Fletcher (R)

I think Fletcher has been unfairly targeted and the allegations against him have been overblown and are nothing compared to scadals sweeping other Republican officeholders around the country. I also like the fact that he is one of the youngest governors in the nation, whereas the Democratic candidate Beashear is too old and has served in politics too long. Also, the Kentucky economy has done very well under the Fletcher admimistration and his adminitration has successfully balanced the state budget several years in a row.

Mississippi: Eaves Jr. (D)

To me, Barbour seems to be too partisan of a Republican and too much of a Republican insider to deserve being reelected. His only previous political experience was being chairman of the RNC! Mississippi deserves the fresh young face that Eaves Jr. brings to the table.

Louisiana: Campbell (D)

I'm not sure why it shows up as "other" on the map, probably because the leading Democrat is State Senator Boasso. I however am supporting Public Service Commissioner and former State Senator Campbell because he is not as wealthy as Boasso, thus he is more of a "common man". I also like the fact that Campbell has the endorsement of a leading education/teachers group, showing that they like his record in the State Senate when he was chairman of the education committee. I also like Campbell's tax reform plan, and his support for education, the environment, help for the poor and people in rural areas and other stances that are tipical of a traditional Democrat (except for the tax reform plan). Boasso on the other hand is pro-life, and just recently switched party affilliation from Republican to Democrat. And finally, and I can't stress this more, I cannot stand Bobby Jindal. He has been a rubber stamp for President Bush's war in Iraq and the rest of his agenda in congress. I could never support anyone with a voting record like Jindal's.
