Probably unique to Jim Hood’s personal popularity more than anything else. Though I’m sure Trump and one-party rule in DC and Jackson aren’t doing Reeves any favors.

This. Even in 2015, Hood won the AG race by double digits while Bryant absolutely crushed a nobody truck driver (no disrespect to him). Hood also has a 39-11 favorability rating as well.
