I assume Nathan could weigh in on this, but he did cast a ballot in the endorsement vote.

Then why have a convention? Tongue

Showing off Hispanics and giving loud, angry speeches.

This is Labor. At any given time, 73% of us are high on cocaine.
I'm on cheap beer : much more working class...

When do we want to start our new convention in Birmingham? I was thinking maybe after the Mideast elections are completed?

Clarence has resigned, and a special election is coming up. Should we run a candidate?

Do it. You'll have our support.

Also, we should get to work on registering new voters and getting people on the rolls out to vote for me all the Labor-endorsed candidates.

Didn't you already endorse a candidate? Would be slightly improper.

That was before people told me to run. I was told I was supposed to, so I did. I don't care that much who wins, but I'm throwing my metaphorical hat into the metaphorical ring because we need more Labor in national politics.

I was just about to ask this.

With this month's elections out of the way, we do need to conduct our convention business.

I approve of this poster.

The convention should officially start at midnight Atlas Forum timestamp time (which fortunately is also the time zone that Birmingham is in!). I'll be back in twelve to fifteen minutes to formally open it.

Here are the 2 things we must get done at our convention in Birmingham:

1. Party Bylaws:
This needs to include the following:
- Regular elections for Party Chairman, Party Vice-Chairman and other positions that we wish to create like Whips
- The process by which we update and amend the party platform
- Rules on endorsements and a procedure for who gets to be on the party line
- Establishment and rules for regular conventions

2. Creation of a Platform:
There are some parts of an attempted platform in this thread, but they are really unorganized and there really wasn't any agreement on many points. I would suggest we start from scratch.

Thoughts?

THE CONVENTION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN.

Any proposals for specific bylaws regarding elections of Party positions would be appreciated at this time.
