In Jesse Ventura's book, "Don't Start the Revolution without me", he writes that he once offered McCain to run as his running mate on a third party ticket in 2000, "back when old John wasn't a puppet for the religious right."  How would the election go, and would an independent McCain / Ventura ticket have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning?
