I am also distressed that my party would consider nominating 2 conservatives as our nominees for president and vice president. I would hope that if Christopher Michael is our nominee, we would at least balance out the ticket by choosing a more liberal running mate. We can't win by being Republican lite...yes, extremism is unelectable, but you need to excite the base as well. Both Christopher Michael and GWBfan have some very conservative views on some issues which I feel make them unworthy of the Democratic nomination.
That's just my $0.02 though...

Thanks, Michael. Friends, I believe I am the mainstream choice of Democrats everywhere who want to stand up for our moral values and not become Republican-lite. I am the only candidate who has the courage, vision, and principles to unite our party, turn out the base, and yet still appeal to moderate swing voters.

I'd say that fits me pretty well.

If anyone is interested in being my running mate, please notify me by email or on AOL instant messenger. I am still taking applications...I have had a few applicants and am reviewing the resumes.

I know, I haven't picked one yet, but I'm considering the possibilities. Since the primary will be over in one day, and then presumably the conventions will follow soon, all of the potential nominees should at least be considering who they want to choose.

Yes, as long as you pick a state in the US as your home state, as you have, there's no problem with you running.

My fellow Americans, tonight I announce my choice of a running mate. I am choosing Harry, the esteemed Senator from Mississippi. Harry is solidly in the mainstream of the Democratic party, and he will offer geographic balance to my ticket. I find his positions on issues to concur with mine in many respects. I will allow Harry himself to announce his platform.

Well, I don't see how you are more to the middle than I am, MiamiU. I agree with all of the positions that you stated. Perhaps there are other differences?

I did not say that I was more moderate than MiamiU, but I'd say we are about even, I agree with all of the positions that he listed.

My fellow Democrats, Migrendel and Nclib are both fine people and worthy candidates, but they are too far to the left to win in the general election, especially now that Supersoulty has picked a moderate running mate, Demrepdan. I implore you to choose Nym90 (D-MI) for president and Harry (D-MS) for Vice President. We are both more centrist than Migrendel and Nclib and we are the only candidates who can hold our own against Supersoulty in the battleground states of the Midwest, a region in which he will otherwise be very strong now with a centrist Midwestern running mate. We are also the only candidates who can make potential inroads into the South, with the GOP having nominated 2 northern candidates.
