They're all abominations, but Carter is the most palatable.

These sort of threads should just ask for "favorite" rather than "best" because the idea that anyone can truthfully claim Jimmy Carter is objectively best is laughable. The only reason is "hes most left" or "he did fewer conservative things". He's a nice guy but bottom 10 presidencies.

Clinton's the best President. Carter's the best person.

Carter really wasn't very liberal.

He was probably the most devoutly religious President in US history.

Liberalism and religion aren't inherently contrary concepts.

They all were all awful. Ford pardoned Nixon to stop the GOP losses in elections. Carter got the ball rolling on neoliberalism in the Democratic party. Reagan was awful. H. W. was actually reasonably competent. Clinton was useless.

Either Regan or W Bush. Voted W in the poll, because he liberated Iraq and Afghanistan from tyrannical regimes and also the economy was great under W until the Democrats took over Congress.

The poll is asking who the best president was, not your personal favorite. By all calculations, Carter was a massive failure.
