Voted "Yes/Yes," but that WAY oversimplifies it.  I was only really bullied briefly from 3rd to 5th grade, and even then it was kind of as the "nerdy" and "weird" friend ... even the kids who weren't friends with me and bullied me gave it a lot worse to other kids.  Then, in the second half of 5th grade and 6th grade, I actually became pretty "popular" and did what most insecure kids do and turned around and was a bit of a bully myself.  In 7th and 8th grade, I was a pretty "average" kid as far as popularity went, so it kind of gave me some perspective and I chilled out a bit.  By high school (and certainly since then), I have definitely not, in any real sense of the terms, bullied anyone or been bullied.

Yes/No (though I occasionally retaliated against bullies)

I never understood the argument that bullying in schools helps kids deal with difficult people as adults. The worst adults I've dealt with as an adult aren't as bad as some of those schoolyard bullies.

Yes/Yes, although I was a bully only once (4th grade).

Probably the worst encounter I had with a bully was a few months ago, when I stood up to my best friend's abusive boyfriend and he physically attacked me in public. Then afterwards, he managed to con her into believing it was my fault (very long story, and sadly she still buys it). Slimy son of a bitch.
