And I mean for their entire campaigns. Also, please say who will win the GOP nomination and the general election.

That's kinda what we do here.

Obama beats Newt.

They both raise about 900 million. A Billion if the Economy is back on track.

I'm assuming your estimate is in 2012 dollars, not that it matter much?

Hmmmm.......  Hard to say.  I won't go into specifics, but I think Obama will still raise at least a consideral amount more than his GOP rivals.  He just appeals to people more in general, he knows how to run a great campaign, plus he won't have to spend tons of money on primary races and can campaign in the genral (stating the pluses of his policy, his administration, attacking the GOP) while the other candidates duke it out.

And I'll give the general election to Obama.  He's doing okay compared to most presidents during their first term, and most presidents who have run for re-election are sucessful.

You're asking about just the eventual Dem. and GOP nominees, or about all the candidates in the primaries too?  I would assume that Romney will raise the most on the GOP side again, especially if we're counting $ that he donates to his own campaign.  But no idea on the exact figures.

Oh, and Romney is the nominee, despite the strong grass root movement by Sarah Palin supporters.

I'm asking about all the major candidates in the primaries, as well as about the eventual Democratic and GOP nominees? And joke candidates can be excluded.
