The problem with the 'let Kasich win OH and let Rubio win FL' plan is states like this where the two of them are splitting their votes.   Both Kasich and Rubio are in a catch 22. They both need the other to drop out and they both need the other to win their home state.
Even if Kasich is out, Rubio won't be able to win Florida, at least not by what these polls are saying.  Rubio could absolutely block Kasich from winning Ohio, on the other hand.

Cruz is ahead of Rubio here? Sucks to be him.
Look at the pdf.  Trump up Cruz up Kasich up Rubio down
And this is before the debate.  Rubio might very well be headed for single digits.
