Good for her and good for you!
That's kind of cool, using the pressure of public attention from Twitter to give her the discipline to actually make it happen. With something like body weight that's such a personal thing, perhaps a little public pressure could be great as long as it's done constructively like this. Making the pressure constructive is really important because getting depressed often makes people (well, me at least) just say "screw it!" and do whatever they're trying not to do or not do what they're trying to do. (I say this as someone who has never had a weight problem but think about this the same way I think about aspects of personal care in my cross-country training)
