SB 18-13: Amendment to the Carbon Tax Act (Failed)

I encourage Senators to vote down this proposal.    If the carbon tax is effective in its desired effect, the revenues will decrease over time as energy generators move to low carbon sources, which makes it an unstable revenue source for vital government programs, but makes it ideal for redistributing directly to the people whose energy costs are increased by the carbon tax during the period of energy transition.
