Gingrich is dead in the water.

Then again, so was John McCain.

Newt is no John McCain and I served with John McCain, just kidding.

I don't know if Newt would openly quit, but I can see him having no money, and essentially just doing tv interviews from his home or on Youtube.

He should just pawn off that jewelry.

He already has no money. One of the reasons the staff quit. That and because they wanted him to focus on grassroots in the early states over television and debates. Neither strategy alone would/will work that they fought over...

I've always thought that Paul Ryan would make a decent showing in a GOP nomination battle---he has already brought down one candidate, and he isn't even running.  Tongue

I sort of suspect that he's pulling a Huntsman and really just doing this to ensure some sort of cabinet slot, or VP if he's delusional enough.

Looks pretty bad for Newt.  I never thought he'd win, or really be a serious candidate, but this pretty much puts a nail in his campaign's coffin.

Just read that Sonny Perdue quit from co-chairman of Gingrich's campaign and endorsed Pawlenty.

(sorry, no link)

This may be the most epic fail Presidential campaign of all time.  Newt jumped with 20+% in the polls and just completely wasted it in a matter of a few weeks.

I'd give that honor to Fred Thompson.

Nah, worse than Fred, at least he made it to the debates.  Newt has had delusions of Grandeur for decades.  Its quite sad to see such a narcissist.  He's just a has been that never was.

Where's the one guy that was on the Newt Bandwagon?  Everybody but him saw this implosion coming.

If Perdue was persuaded to switch to Pawlenty by his "economic plan" then he is the biggest fool in politics.

By that standard, the 2008 Gilmore campaign must have been a massive success!

Not too mention the runnerups, Brownback, Tancredo, and Hunter!
