Nice to see Trondheim would have voted against Reagan twice...that makes two of us!

To be honest, the only reason I "voted" Reagan in 1980 was for diversity's sake... otherwise, I would've voted for every Democratic candidate since 1960, and frankly that would have just been plain dull.

1928: Herert Hoover (America's hardest working president)

1932: Herbert Hoover

Interesting. What makes you think Hoover was so great?
This is a genuine question, historians always lay into Hoover so it would be interesting to read a viewpoint in his favour.

Slightly revised my votes.

I definitely would have been a Whig in the mid-19th century, and a Republican in the late 19th century. That era produced some great idealists: Fremont, Lincoln, Harrison, etc. In the early 20th century I would've voted for the likes of Bryan and Debs. Then FDR came along and scooped up all of us quasi-socialists for the Dem vote...

1792 George Washington (Federalist)
1796 Thomas Jefferson (Democratic-Republican)
1800 Thomas Jefferson (Democratic-Republican)
1804 Thomas Jefferson (Democratic-Republican)

Welcome aboard, Tom!

I second that. Hi Tom, and welcome to the forum. Btw, how come you would've chosen Nixon over McGovern in 1972? It's just that it seems out of sync with your other votes.
