I'll go with New York, though seemingly any solidly Democratic state with a social liberal contingent could work.

I'll go with Virginia. I could see him doing well in a wealthy suburban area that isn't extremely liberal or conservative. Colorado would be a decent option as well, as would New Hampshire.
