Voting begins Friday, February 17, at 12:00:00am, and will conclude on Sunday, February 19, at 11:59:59pm (all times Eastern).  Votes cast before the election has begun or after it has concluded will be declared invalid.

This election is being conducted in accordance with the Unified Electoral Code.  Explanations of various applicable rules and regulations may be found in the General Advice to Voters.

If you have any questions about voting or this election in general, please send me a Personal Message or ask in the official SoFA Thread.

Be sure of your ballot before submitting.  Editing or deleting and reposting your ballot will result in the invalidation of your vote.

Campaigning in this thread will result in the invalidation of your vote.

Voting is conducted using preferential voting
.  Rank the candidates in order of preference.  If your first preference does not receive enough votes, your vote will be counted for your next preference.  Candidates are eliminated until one candidate has a majority of votes.  You are not required to rank all of the candidates.  If you do not wish to cast a first preference vote for a ballot candidate or write-in a choice, you may select None of the Above.

Sample ballot:
1) Candidate A
2) Write-in: Citizen X
3) Candidate B
4) Candidate C

To be eligible to vote, you must have registered to vote 10 days prior to the commencement of this election and must have made at least 25 posts in the 8 weeks (56 days) prior to the commencement of this election.

You must be registered in one of the states in a respective region in order to vote for that region’s Senator.

To the extent allowed by law, the Department of Forum Affairs will not count a vote for only part of a presidential/vice presidential ticket as a vote for the ticket on which that candidate is running.  Please vote for the full ticket (listing both the presidential and vice presidential candidate) if you wish for your vote to count for that ticket.
