As discussed in the thread about JCP hegemony.

Some of the benefits I can think of regarding a shift to this system:

* Faster, more intense gameplay - as intraparty intrigue increases, it would require players to be more active to keep up with the pace.

* More interesting gameplay - more ideologies are given credence. And, as an inverse corollary,

* Less ideological gameplay. If I am a liberal, but need the populist vote, I'll need to moderate my stances significantly on social issues.

* More opportunities to enlist players who might have been otherwise turned off by the present duopoly.

I voted "Yes liberal" but I suppose I could just as easily be "Yes 'cosnervative'".

They get too cluttered. The last one descended into bgwah and Xahar pointing fingers.

If we're trying to fundamentally change the way the game is played, of course we can't.

Totally. I wish we had more defined parties too.

Yes. Anything to break the current entrenched power structure to make Atlasia more accessible to outsiders.

I count myself as a "player who might have been otherwise turned off by the present duopoly."

I mean one defined ideologically, as opposed to the monstrosity of a System that now exists.

Ideologically pure parties are very rare in any country.

Maybe it worths for the LNF, but certainly not for the RPP and the JCP (too big to be) nor for the DA (actually, it's maybe the most ideologically coherent party in those times).

They are true reformers who try to find a compromise between the right and the left and focus on intelligent policies.

They rarely find a compromise... they're practically an extension of the JCP, and while I don't think Hashemite is lying about his PM score, views etc., it does seem he is far more left wing than it would suggest.

Please tell me what did Hashemite do for you to consider him so left-wing ?

What does that have to do with ideological coherence?
