I mentioned this in the
Humor Section of the forums, but figured I'd bring it here.
Al Sharpton hosted Saturday Night Live on December 6th. But many TV stations across the nation, refused to air this episode, due to the fact that Al Sharpton is a Democratic candidate for the 2004 Presidential election. This first started in Iowa, and apparently other affiliates followed the lead.
More on the Iowa decision not to air the show here.
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/12/06/elec04.prez.sharpton.snl.ap/index.html My NBC affiliate WICD in Champaign, Illinois, did not show this episode, but instead showed a re-run of the "Best of Steve Martin" as many other affiliates did. I would like to know, how many of you also did not see Al Sharpton host? And do you think that if you would have seen him host the show, that it would have affected your political feelings for him in anyway? Or for that matter, do you think it would change ANYONE’S feeling for him?
