We're armchair quarterbacks for a reason! Here's one I can recall:

In 2022, someone said the Democrats' slogan should be "Condoms on, masks off"

Running a prominent Democrat as a replacement for Newsom just in case the recall won.

Biden going full pro Pali (imagine big Phillips rallies).

I was just going to say the opposite, someone's suggestion in the 2024 forum the other day that Biden double down on his support for Israel.

That would be like if my favorite Great Uncle and my Jewish partner's favorite Great Uncle ran on a ticket together. I'd be all for it but it's not like Biden needed to increase his vote share in Brooklyn or New England lol.

Biden would've been better to use the same strategy he is on Ukraine with Israel. More American's are pro Israel than pro Palestine, so I think that he'd further alienate voters if he were to go full pro Pali. Considering that many of the pro Palestine supporters aren't satisfied with Biden's compromise, his alienation of the Never Trump Republican's who overwhelmingly support Israel wasn't a smart decision with hindsight as he can't afford to lose any potential voters considering the narrowness of his initial coalition.

"Biden should pick Bernie Sanders for VP".

There would have been no change in the results. Neoliberal twitter trolls who worship Kamala and hate Sanders enough to back Trump are loud but not statistically significant.

He's talking about those Romney-Biden suburbanites. Moderate conssitent dems would had keeped the line agaisnt Trump.
I suppose Sanders could had helped to carry the Midwest trio, but would had lose Georgia and Arizona unless increase lefty turnout had some effects.

Not atlas, but alternatehistory.com

For a brief moment after the first Democratic primary debate in 2019, folks on that website were obsessed with Kamala Harris and thought she was the best nominee to beat Trump

I said MASKS OFF, CONDOMS ON.

it was meant to be a Joke.

But come on.. democrats needed to drop the MASK mantra .. and yeah Monkey pox was a legit concern. We should advocate for SAFE sex and fun and not spreading diseases.

Was that the one where she called Biden a racist? Mega cringe.

In reality, Kamala Harris being on the ticket at all resulted in a substantial uptick in Republican White Working Class turnout (there were many racist but usually not politically active people out there who hated the idea of a woman of color as President or Vice President), which then hurt Dems massively up and down the ballot. It very nearly cost Dems an election where basically all other factors pointed to a very strong win for them.
