What's wrong with NEOS that the öVP would rule out a coalition with them?

There absolutely no way Kurz keeps those numbers though, is there?

I mean, every time event X cause politician Y to surge in the polls, they wind up falling back at least a few points over the following months (not just Schulz, but Clegg, even Macron lost 2-3 points in the last month of the campaign).

I reckon ÖVP get 29-30% maximum

so spo, ovp and fpo all hate eachother but 2 of that 3 party will have to form a coalition. it's gonna be long negotiations, maybe even something like holland.
No, it's not. ÖVP and FPÖ will form a coalition fairly easily if they win a majority.

And then hopefully the FPO will go the same way as last time they went into coalition with the OVP

I love how right-wing nationalists always start caring about animals when it's about the meat that is only consumed by Muslims and Jews Roll Eyes

Assuming that, as they surely will, the SPö finish well behind öVP, they had better stay out of government, rather than blemish themselves further with being the junior partner in yet another grand coalition.

Does NEOS position itself as a right-wing liberal party (like the VVD and to a lesser extent the FDP) or are they more like those European social liberal/left-liberal parties? I always assumed they were more like the latter but you've called them right-wing a couple of times (and you obviously know a lot more about Austrian politics since you're Austrian Tongue).

They support something totally cretinous like a constitutional debt break. Safe to assume they're right wing I think
