Option 2. I will not be involved in politics, but if for some reason I feel like it (p*ssed off by my rep), I would run, make a big difference and not run for reelection.

Probably not.  I'm too nice and too unopinionated to run an effective campaign.  I simply can't act as if I have all of the answers and I would hate to smear my opponent.

I want to be a Representative, Senator, President, but not a politician.  Smiley

I checked "yes" anyway

I wouldn't be able to stand it, although I have a secret dream to be Governor of Maryland one day.

Yeah, I actually have a (not-so-after-this-)secret dream to be the MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands someday.

Been there and done that.

Sometimes, but health factors are a great disincentive.

Political science might be my minor. Probably not, though. If I was to be, it would be state senator. It's not where my heart is.

Actually I was an Accounting major, but took 2 Pol Sci courses in college.  That's where I got my interest in this somewhat.

I would love to be in politics. There's a good chance that I would be considered too extreme to be elected, but I've thought of doing political analysis. Political consulting is also an option.

Maybe. I have some health problems which might stop it though. I'll probably wind up as an embittered municiple hack somewhere...

Good luck in the primaries, heh. I don't think you are liberal enough.

When the day comes when you can run an honest, good campaign and win, that is the day I will run.

Or, when the day comes when the Democratic Party is such a wreck that you have to do anything that you can in order to keep the party alive, that is the day that I will run Smiley

That'd be pretty cool, but there's not an office in the entire state I could get elected to, unless they gerrymandered some state legislature districts.

If you become a social centrist, I could see you winning something like state AG or state Comptroller. Then leapfrog from there.

I would like to run for some kind of office. Hopefully start in the State Senate or something like that and then working my way up to Senator. Problem is if I can't even in an election on the Forum how could I win one in real life?

It's easier to brainwash the general public than Atlasia, so you'd do fine then Smiley

Still there. It makes a great avocation, but it takes work.

I'd love to be elected to something someday; I've already got my eye on the Kansas governorship, though that's admittedly several years down the line, at least.  Anyone think I could make it?

Of course, a PolSci minor will be as much worth in the political scene as a Toilet Cleening minor. If you want to be a politician, we all know what you have to take: LAW.
