if cooper wins, the biggest injustice of this election is going to be paid - at least in a symbolic way.

i agree with some republicans that democrats sometimes make too much out of suppression charges but what happened in NC was just terrifying.

he is such a despicable man....

since NC seems to be one of the most vote-suppressed states of the wholy country i see ousting him as a central win for minority rights.

finally one nightmare over.

if the super-majorities of republicans fall in 2017, this state is finally competetive again.

The redistricting next March will do nothing but further help the state GOP.

good point but they need to change something regarding the complaints......wouldn't the whole thing repeat otherwise?

Lemme guess, McCrory still hasn't conceded.

well, theoretically the margin could fall under 10k again...but if it holds after all counties have confirmed their numbers, it's game over.

sounds like Durham Recount is happening regardless.....

.@NCSBE member Josh Malcolm (R) says it would be "a travesty" to call what happened in Durham an "irregularity." #ncpol

Sounds like we're heading for a 3-2, party-line vote in favor of a Durham recount. #ncpol

this state is cartoonish partisan.

edit:

AAAAAAAAAAAAND it's done.....it's happening

well, a few votes could go either way with all those technical problems.

not nearly enough to change the election but enough to maybe push cooper under 10k...and then the state recount is going to come anyway....

we are nearly done.

GOP-majority on board of election rejects McCrory's complaints about Blade County too

and the absentee ballots challenged by McCrory's campaign are going to be counted too.

durham is mccrory's last stand....

Good riddance.

Well at least he was kind of decent in the concession and decided to be respectful; that's a +.

So excited to see what Roy can do.

nothing besides symbolism.....as long as the SC and the 2017 election doesn't at least gives him veto power.

Governor of North Carolina has total control over the state and all counties election boards.

correct....but those republicans there, in the end, sided with democrats against mccrory.

hm......on the other side...those boards determine where people are voting and for how long, etc?
