@BRTD: Good luck! I never get very far when I play in East Africa, so I generally just avoid that region.

Anyway, has anyone seen the Imperator: Rome announcement?

Not a whole lot is clear about this game yet - but, it's essentially going to be CK2 set in Rome. It also promises the most detailed map ever in a Paradox game: like CK2's, it'll stretch all the way to India.

I'm very excited for this . I mentioned in my previous post that CK2's character-driven gameplay sets it apart from the other Paradox games for me - and, this game promises plenty of that. Throw in the fact that I come from a city known primarily for its Roman history, and you have something I'm going to play the heck out of (as long as it doesn't completely suck)!

Well I've seen it now and I'm interested.

Thumb, how long will it take until you're able to launch offensive operations to retake Richmond and Virginia?

Okay so I'm debating pre-ordering Imperator.  I think it looks amazing but I'm not sure if it'll be a good idea to get it straight from release, what would you guys suggest?
