Well, I'm apparently a Democrat now, but I've got a few years to kill before I can run. Wink

Someone who believes abortion is a states' rights issue and, tax reform, and soforth. If they picked someone like that, I might actually vote for him.

Hillary Clinton will NOT RUN!

Daschle will  NOT RUN!

Dean’s ego would suggest that he might well run ditto with Kucinich, however both will get hammered.

Edwards WILL RUN! If Kerry loses as of November 2004 Edwards is the favourite to get the democratic nomination in 2008.

Mark Warner could run if he defeats Allen in the 2006 senate race, and could be a very very strong candidate.

Russ Feingold might well emerge as the Liberal Democrat’s champion and eclipse any campaign by either Dean or Kucinich.

Ed Rendell will run if he has managed to over come PA economic difficulties and regained some cohesion in his approach to managing the state and as a result wins re-election in 2006.

Blanche Lincoln could well run and would be a strong candidate, who I would be very tempted to support even if Warner ran.

Harold Ford might run, but a lot would depend on what happens in the 2006 senate race which he makes no secret of wanting to be the democratic candidate for.

Evan Byah, might run but I get the sense that he realises his own limitations, namely his lack of charisma and if Kerry has lost that might weight heavily on his final decision, he could simply remain in the senate and see if the likes of Lincoln, Warner or Edwards selected him as their running mate.

Nancy Pelosi, don’t laugh terrible as the prospect is she might actually try an run…

Barbra Boxer, as with Pelosi another ultra Liberal I dislike might well also try and run and as with Pelosi would probably get beaten badly.

We mean primary for the president. Anyway, I don't think Kerry's senate term expires in 2008.

Actually it does...he won re-election to a 6 year term in 2002 80-20 against a write-in...he won 52-45 against some Republican in 1996....

Dean! He's the only one with some semblance of integrity.

Let's cross our fingers, eh? Smiley

Bill Richardson (D-NM)

He should run with Warner, it would be a good mix.

Who voted for Daschle? I guess there are a few Dems that don't want to win in 2008?

Damn fool.

The poll was started by a Bush supporter.

But you're too dumb to see that.

Write-in Zell Miller.... except that I doubt that a single real Democrat would vote for him. I bet he's got a better chance at the Republican nomination at this point. Besides, he's getting old.

Joe Lieberman, then. Of course, for me, this is naming green vegetables in order of preferance. Lieberman is just easier to swallow than, say, Edwards or Clinton. He's tough on defense and a likeable guy.... better than most of the others.

Personally, I'm thinking about for the Republicans,  Hastert seems best, with Guiliani or Rice as a running mate.

I will be voting in this race (unless I have a particular interest in the Republican primary)! And I chose Dean on principle!
