I'm back folks. I'll be in touch with the President and GM.

Anything and everything relating to the Internal Affairs department shall go here.

I will be heading to Georgia to inspect the issues involving the secession crisis

---Press Release From Internal Affairs Department---

It is with regret that I'm informed of Marokai's resignation as GM. I did not get to work with him as closely as I did in my last term in this office with Badger. Even so, I want to say that I thank Marokai for his service in the post and wish him well in the future.

Statement from the SOIA
Good day, all. I realize this office has been rather quiet, but with no GM, it makes my job somewhat difficult to perform. However, I want to reiterate that I am devoted to this office and wish to make it as active as it was the last time I held the job.

I don't know if I will be returned by the next President, whomever it may be, and if in the case, I am not, I want to take this opportunity to thank President Polnut for instilling his confidence in me for the job.

The Internal Affairs Department, it is my hope, will get the chance to become an active and worthwhile pursuit for any future Atlasian to hold. That is why I am taking this opportunity to also endorse a plan that would give the Internal and External Affairs departments more power. Our offices are largely dependent on the GM to give us issues to tackle. When there is no GM it makes it impossible for us to work. I would like the next Senate to please consider allowing these two departments leeway to create sustaining storylines in the game, especially if the GM is absent.

If I am dismissed in the next term, I am hopeful that this can be a contribution I brought to this office in my second go-around.

Thank you!

I want to extend congratulations to Snowy on, what appears to be, his victory in the Presidential election. Also to Bacon King on his re-election to Vice President.

How's that one? I like it, myself. The old cars down at the bottom were cool too.

BACK ON THE JOB!

I'm back on the job after taking some time off as Administrations shifted.

I can't wait to get back into it now.

This office will recognize and translate Sillese for any Atlasian who needs help with the language. We'll be adding about 20 jobs to the department for translators.

---Statement from the SoIA---

"The Internal Affairs department continues to support the work being done to limit the cases of HIV and HepC. We're also encouraging individuals with addictions to seek counseling and treatment that they require to overcome these issues. We must find ways apart from this to help addicts clean up."

Although jobs have been created at a reasonably high level, the Internal Affairs department will obviously look to more ways to create additional jobs, especially in regions with over 10% unemployment the IDS and the Pacific.

I'll be taking a fact finding tour of the Pacific this weekend and I'll be in the IDS next Tuesday-Friday. I'll be holding meetings with citizens of those regions as well as business leaders to discuss the issue of job creation, which I will then report on.

I have sent the President my letter of resignation. Frankly, I'm not doing a good job and I am not content to not do a good job. I thank you all for allowing me the chance to be SOIA again. But right now, I'm not up to this office and that is the fairest thing for me to do as I was missing PMs thanks to a funeral in the family and being swamped with writing deadlines.

So, I guess this office is closed for the time being.

All my best wishes, Atlasia. I'll be around again. Just not in this capacity.

Sad
I would have liked longer to work more with you, but no one can blame you for not being active here when you are dealing with these things.
Peace to you and your family.

I was disappointed to hear that Dr. Cynic was resigning.  It's too bad we couldn't work together more... but I understand why he had to resign and I hope he can be active in Atlasia in the future.

Perhaps another time in the future.

You made a great pick to replace me.
