This is a narrow matchup between two fairly moderate Governor's - Wolfentoad and Tmthforu94. Wolfentoad performs well out west, while Governor Tmth holds strong in the Midwest and performs well in the Northeast, which send him to the White House by a narrow margin.

2016 GOP Primary: Liberty Prevails!

The 2016 Presidential primary proved to be a bruising one. Governor Maxwell of Oklahoma, known for his small-government and libertarian principles, was a favorite among many in the Tea Party, despite a progressive stance on social issues. Senator Tmthforu94 of neighboring Kansas, elected in 2010 to replace Brownback, dazzled many when he was the keynote speaker at the 2012 RNC Convention, and his charisma helped him surge to the top. However, he has been criticized for siding with the moderate faction in the Kansas GOP, and despite high favorables from Democrats and Independents, struggling gaining traction with GOP voters.

After a long and bruising primary, Governor Maxwell eventually prevails. In an effort to unify the party, he goes on to select Senator Tmthforu94 as his running mate, and the two narrowly win in the General Election.
