Yes, I have to know what time it is, and I'm too old to check my phone for the time.

Left or right wrist? Or do you wait until you're in the mirror to make that decision? (No wrong answer btw)

I did many moons ago, but I don't see the point anymore.  There are clocks nearby 97% of the time and on the rare occasion there isn't, I'll have my phone.  I do sometimes wish I could wear my phone on my wrist like a watch, but I'm not sure how well that would work in practice.

I'm an old, and while I don't wear glasses because I have good eyes....I still don't think I could read that.  I suppose if I'm just using it as a phone it would be fine, but I was thinking more about texting and reading wiki.  I do like the look of the black one though.  How much those run?

Yes, I do.

Clocks are always ubiquitous until you actually want to look at one to see what time it is. Then you're conveniently in a room/area with no clocks.

As for using your phone, you have to dig it out of your pockets. And given the trend toward relatively large phones and relatively snug-fitting pants, that's a rather cumbersome task compared to the less than one second it takes for your eyes to glance down at your wrist.

I also consider it rude to look at one's phone during a conversation with someone. It's easier to discretely check the time on your wristwatch (or theirs).

I don't wear a watch normally, unless I'm wearing a suit ... then it forms part of the uniform.

And I wear it on my right-wrist, opposite of the hand I write with, because I've been brought up properly.

You're too old? We're pretty much the same age... I think the issue is relative, not chronological age.

Yes. Mainly for style rather than time-telling though.

Both of these answers.  This is my everyday accessory:

A digital watch, so it's strictly functional. I feel naked without it.

No, but I've been considering it, especially because I'll be working in an office soon. I feel like wearing a watch in an office is a thing people do and/or expect.

Every time I leave the house, yes.  Same wrist as my dominant hand: the right one.  I know I'm doing it wrong, technically.

Not at the moment, and not generally, but sometimes.  I have a nice diving watch that I always take on vacation and wear for the duration of the trip.  (With buses, boats, trains, and plane schedules, it's good to know what time it is during travel.)  I also have a nice Republican-looking watch which was a gift.  I wear it when I have a special seminar to give or a job interview or something like that.  I'd estimate that I spend about 95% of my waking hours not wearing a watch.

I don't think I've worn a watch since I was 12. But back then, I wore them all the time, on my right wrist of course (left handed).

I know, I was making a tongue-in-cheek parody to Napoleon's post.  Anyhow, I wear my watch (either analog or digital) on my right wrist as I am left-handed.

No. I used to wear a watch every day when I was younger, especially during elementary school. It was always on my left wrist. I'm someone that always needs to know the time, so if there was no other way to know the time in a given situation, I'd easily go back to wearing one.

I'm left-handed and wear it on my left wrist.  Is that 'wrong' somehow?  Huh

Mostly no. Kind of like what polnut said, I will with a suit on occasion that I wear a suit, which is not that often - mainly for functions and so forth. I actually have a nice watch sitting in my night table, but actually, I think the battery is dead!

My cell phone tells me everything, including the time. Pretty soon it will be telling me what to have for dinner. Tongue

Presumably it gets in the way when writing with your left hand or something?

Of course. Each and every moment, unless I am submerged in water.
