Was the 1984 Reagan the highest percentage vote Republicans ever got in the Suburbs (not to be confused with today's exburbs)?  Your thoughts.

I think 1972, but 56, 72, and 84 all seem like they're pretty close.  1920 would be up there as well, but suburbs were much less prominent overall pre WW2.

Generally speaking, Eisenhower polled best in northeastern suburbs, Nixon in southern suburbs and Reagan in Western suburbs.
