Here's a fun fact.
The end goal of Fascism and it's ideology is genocide. The eradication of specific races. It's not a by product, but the end stated goal.
The end goal of Marxism is not genocide. Rapid, forced industrialisation in the Soviet Union, China etc led to mass starvation and death, these were horrific and inhuman by products of it's implementation but not the stated intention of the ideology.
That does make a difference, even if you don't wish there to be one.
That may make Communism "different". I would be hard pressed to say that it makes Communism "better".
Stalin's mass homicide of the Kulaks wasn't based on race or ethnicity, but those people's suffering and death were no less horrific than many of the instances of mass genocide people read about. Somehow, the idea that these killings not being racially or ethnically motivated isn't exactly comforting. Perhaps that's not the message you wanted to convey, but how can I not draw that conclusion from your post?
Would you seek to ban users from the Japanese or Italian communist parties? Even considering their decades-long adherence to democratic norms and traditions ever since the end of World War II?
There is a distinction, in that there is no functional equivalent of a non-violent non racist fascist movement.
That doesn't make the atrocities of Stalin or Mao any less atrocious, but unlike fascism there is wide spectrum of marxist thought and political faction.
